Welcome to what I know will be another very agreeable gathering here at Connolly House. Those of you who attended last year will remember what a wonderful day we had. This year we’ll take much of last years formula (we’ll return to the 5-minute presentations every second year) and add to it. Our intention is once more to provide a forum for the exchange of ideas and to allow you to establish or renew acquaintances and to meet the many young faculty and senior graduate students new to the scene.

As always, all faculty involved in Irish Studies in the area are heartily welcome to participate and/or attend. And this year we send out a particular invitation to bring along your senior graduate students for whom we’ve got a special panel of young published faculty: Maximize Your Potential–Publishing for Grad Students
